“I tried to capture the beauty there. Beauty amongst the rubble, the concrete and everything that is a reminder of atrocities that took place there. Almost every photo you see is of carnage explosions and death. Of course we shouldn’t forget, but I wanted to give people another view of Mt Carmel. The view that was part of the reason why so many still want to live there, and why so many stayed. There is a beauty there that ran side by side with a truth that so many were trying to find, and found.”
